Magyar Agár
The Agár breed is
one of a group of dogs (which includes the Vizsla, aAár, Komondor and Puli)
brought to the Carpathian basin by the Magyars coming from the Ural hills in
what is now Russia. The Agár was (and is) used for hunting fox and hare. They
are very fast (being a variation of the greyhound), have excellent eyesight, and
a very keen sense of smell. Agárs love the company of humans and make good pets
as well if they are well treated. |
